Enjoy local homemade desserts...

by Clarksdale natives Teddy Strong, Jr. and his wife & LaTanthony Strong. These desserts are inspired by a father’s love for cooking southern style foods and discovering Grandma Machie V’s original handwritten sweet potato cake recipe.

Owner

Founder of Sweet Tooth Teddy, LLC, Pastor Theodore Strong, Jr., grew up in the kitchen with his father, Pastor Theodore Strong, Sr., and his love for southern home-style cooking. He honed in on his skills in Clarksdale High School's Vocational Culinary Arts Program where he won several medals in FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America).

With continuous humility and inspiration from his father, he kept improving his skills until his seventh grade friend and now wife of six years, LaTanthony, pushed him to share his baking with the community. Soon after, it was a hit.

After 3 months, orders started rolling in and these two foodie buddies were in business for real. Follow us on this journey as we tackle sweet tooth cravings across the Delta and even further.

Founders Teddy and Tant, met in middle school and became friends. Six years later, they began dating January 8, 2012 during college. Within that year, Teddy introduced Tant to the most delicious pound cake she had ever tasted and they were married December 15, 2012.

Fast forward >>> he became a financial coach and she became a teacher-librarian. One night, they were enjoying homemade peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream while binge watching their favorite tv shows when Tant felt that they were eating too many sweets and needed to share it more often than eating full 8x8 pans almost every week.

So, they shared with family and friends, who encouraged Teddy to keep baking. Soon enough, he decided to sell the sweets that satisfied their own sweet tooth cravings.
